The Challenge
I was commissioned to create a river table desk with storage for records and a bench seat.
The Solution
The walnut slab was oriented based upon the irregular desk shape and made into a river table. The cabinets were modeled in 3D for customer confirmation and CNC routed for precision. The joinery was done with a Festool Domino Joiner. Once assembled I painted the insides of the cabinets and gave them several finish coats of lacquer. The install included the cutting down of the slab to custom fit it to the desk and the space.
